Why a digital hive scale?
Recording the weight of the beehive allows you to collect a lot of relevant data about the condition of the bee colony. Food requirements, honey yield and the space required for this, and even swarming can be determined from changes in weight. It is also easy to determine the honey yield for the respective colony and compare it with neighboring colonies.
If this data can also be accessed at any time via a browser, you can save yourself a trip to the apiary and still be sure that the bees are doing well. A vibration sensor also allows you to detect movement in the hive and thus automatically identify theft and vandalism.
